Background

The development of a residential regeneration project in the centre of Walthamstow for the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Juniper House comprises a 91-unit residential development adjacent to Walthamstow Central train station. The development will include 950 square metres of retail/commercial space and a nursery. The residential is situated in a 16-storey tower and a 4-storey block behind.

The units will be an equal split of 50% private sale and 50% affordable. The affordable units are proposed to be split 60% shared ownership and 40% social rent.

The site is bounded on three sides by Hoe Street, Gyratory road, the railway line and existing Victorian housing. The site is complex, with logistical challenges such as Party Wall matters. A Network Rail BAPA Agreement is in place.

Stace was appointed to provide Cost Management, Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Party Wall Services for the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
