Background

Dynamic Regeneration Project in East London covering almost 200 acres.

The redevelopment of Greenwich Peninsula estate, to the south of the O2 arena, will provide the area with over 10,000 new homes, 48 acres of open green space and parkland, and 3.5 million ft² of commercial space, including communal areas, landscaped gardens, leisure facilities and retail units.

The buildings are a mix of high rise blocks, with a minimum height of 10 storeys, with either ground floor or basement parking under a podium slab, providing residents safe and secure communal space.

Our Role

Stace is working with Knight Dragon in numerous capacities, including Health, Safety and Risk Management, covering the whole development and interests, CDM-C and, since the new regulations came into full effect in October 2015, Principal Designer. The scheme will create 13,000 job opportunities, 15,000 new homes and 48 acres of open public space emerging over the coming years.

Our Impact

Stace played an important role in influencing how the risks to health and safety should be managed and incorporated into the wider management of the project. Three residential plots have now been successfully handed over.

The three plots, formed of duplex units and two-storey townhouses, offer a mix of private, intermediate and social for rent homes. They have been built in accordance with the code of sustainable homes, the London Housing Guide and Secure by Design. For information on the development, please visit the official website.
