Josh joined Stace in 2026 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in our Birmingham office. With experience spanning both the construction and consultancy sectors, the opportunity to continue growing his knowledge and expertise made the move to Stace a natural choice.
Before moving into quantity surveying, Joshua spent time in the music industry, with his work featured on BBC Radio 1. He subsequently returned to university to complete a Master's in Quantity Surveying and has since built eight years of experience across the construction and consultancy sectors.
Since then, he has gained experience across a wide range of sectors including heritage, hospitality and retail. This has seen him work on projects ranging from Stonehenge to Mayfair, with clients including English Heritage, the National Trust, Kew Gardens, HM Prison Service and H&M.
One of the aspects Josh enjoys most about his role is identifying opportunities to deliver value for clients. He is passionate about finding cost savings and helping projects achieve successful outcomes, believing there is nothing better than seeing a project delivered on time and within budget.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys playing both guitar and bass and performs in a couple of bands. When he's not making music, you'll most likely find him with a drill in hand tackling a DIY project. He also appeared on Channel 4's Chateau DIY: Win the Dream in France – although he unfortunately didn't come away with a château of his own.
