Gurdit joined Stace in 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in the construction and infrastructure industry and a background in Civil Engineering. He has delivered several high-profile projects, including BOXPARK Liverpool and Birmingham (BOXPARK Limited), the Radisson Liverpool and Manchester Deansgate Hotel refurbishments (Yianis Group), and the Brook Place 2 build-to-rent development (Grainger plc).

Gurdit has enjoyed working across a range of sectors, including residential, retail, hospitality, hotels, manufacturing, and heritage, for clients such as Jaguar Land Rover, Co-op, BOXPARK, Grainger, Home Group, Agratas, Silverstone, the National Trust, and BT.

A member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) and an NEC4 Accredited Project Manager, Gurdit is committed to maintaining industry best practice and advancing his professional development.

As the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Lead for the Birmingham office, he champions inclusive practices that drive better outcomes for people, projects, and the wider industry.

Outside work, Gurdit enjoys food, fitness, and spending time with his family.

Sasha started working at Stace in 2023 as an Assistant Building Surveyor and finished her Master’s degree in Building Surveying at the University of the Built Environment in 2025.

Since joining Stace, Sasha has worked with clients including St Clement Danes Church, Comsec, The National Trust, Roedean School, and Newlon Housing Trust.

Sasha is passionate about the history of old buildings, which is part of the reason she sought a career in the built environment as she gets to enjoy her passion within her work.

She's also a food enthusiast - having attended cookery school in the past! As well as an outdoors adventurer - she's hiked the entire Pembrokeshire path, loves to ski, and once trialled for the GB rowing squad.

Tom’s career in construction began as a developer and contractor, before he moved into consultancy, giving him a deep understanding of the construction process, from conception to completion.
 
Tom joined Stace in 2023, and today works with clients including Bidwells, Ceres, Dandara, Qualis, Savils, Vistry, Whirledge and Notts. He has expertise in house building as well as recladding and fire safety remedial works.
 
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with family and getting out on his bike. He’s also an active member of his local Round Table, where he has served as secretary, and supported raising c.£80k a year for local causes and charities.
 
He also helped organise Britain’s second-largest soapbox race, where 20,000 spectators watched 50+ racers, raising £35-50k for charity.

Currently studying for his Quantity Surveying degree whilst working, Sean joined Stace in 2024 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor.

Having worked as an assistant electrical labourer during school holidays, he was inspired to move into Quantity Surveying. His family members, who all work in construction, encouraged him to pursue a role that combined his passion for maths with the practical, fast-paced nature of the industry.

Today, he supports various members of the London Quantity Surveying team through all stages of construction and has worked on projects alongside the following clients: BDO and The Portman Estate.

In his free time, Sean enjoys playing football and is also a qualified referee who helps ref the youth teams at his local football club - Ruislip Rangers FC.

Dominik has over ten years of experience in the construction industry, beginning his career as a site operative in a family run business while studying for his Construction Management degree.

He later moved into the contractor side of retail construction, working with retail technology company Strongpoint.

In 2025, Dominik joined Stace, where he has since enjoyed contributing to the retail environment through Tesco’s business initiatives and maintenance programmes. Beyond Tesco, he has worked with a range of clients including Sainsbury’s, M&S, Yo! Sushi, and the University of Warwick.

Dominik is passionate about continuous professional development, and on weekends, he enjoys playing golf.

Jessa Lee

Jessa Lee

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Jessa began her career at Stace in 2018 as a degree apprentice, attaining her RICS chartership in 2023 and quickly establishing herself as a rising talent in the industry. She's currently pursuing a master's in Sustainability Leadership in the Built Environment at the University of Cambridge.

Her cost management experience spans residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors, with notable clients including local authorities (London Boroughs of Bromley and Enfield, St Albans City and District Council and Portsmouth City Council), Rangeford Villages, and Places for People.

Jessa has led and supported initiatives through the sustainability working group and the ED&I committee, as well as developing training programmes for incoming apprentices. Her contributions led to finalist nominations in the “Rising Star” and “Apprentice of the Year” categories at the 2023 London Construction Awards and RICS Matrics Awards.

An avid volunteer, Jessa currently supports RICS Matrics, the REB NextGen Committee, Cancer Research UK, and Columbus School and College. Outside work, she can be found dressmaking, playing board games, composing and performing music.

Thomas Coates

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Thomas joined Stace in 2023 as an apprentice studying for his BSc degree in Quantity Surveying.

Since joining, he has worked on schemes for clients such as Arch Co, The FA, Telford Homes, Kilchoan Estate Company and Knoydart Limited.

His key responsibilities include cost planning, take off and measurements, and assisting with work experience students.

Thomas is very sporty and describes rugby, golf and football as his favourite sports. He previously trialled for Saracens Rugby Club and was an academy player.

Edward Bain

Edward Bain

Partner

Edward has worked in the construction industry for 29 years, since graduating from the University of the West of England. He held roles at companies including EC Harris and Faithful+Gould before joining Stace in 2012 and becoming a Partner in 2016.

Managing the London Building Surveying team, Edward oversees business development, staff mentoring and training, and the delivery of our Building Surveying services and quality assurance.  

He enjoys the cut and thrust of the city and values building lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals alike. Edward is passionate about developing staff and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to grow their careers and fulfil their potential. 

At the weekend, you’ll find him at Old Trafford cheering on his favourite football team.

Having obtained a degree in Construction Project Management and gained experience as an Assistant Project Manager across residential, infrastructure and commercial projects, Abigail joined Stace in April 2025.

At Stace, Abigail's responsibilities include stakeholder management and time management, and she has collaborated with a number of clients including Latimer Homes and British Land on office and residential developments.

Outside of work, she enjoys backpacking and skiing, and has also volunteered in Cambodia.

Zoe started her professional career working in the Homeless Department at a Local Authority and quickly gained an interest in developing and providing much-needed housing.
 
Having moved from client to contractor and then to consultancy, Zoe has a unique understanding of the requirements of all parties within a team.
 
Since joining Stace, Zoe has primarily worked on residential projects, including delivering 283 homes at Wembley Park. She has worked with clients such as Quintain, Greystar, Muse Places, amongst numerous others.
 
Her main responsibilities centre around delivery and leading an open work environment. An aspect of the job she finds particularly rewarding is supporting junior members of the team.
 
Outside of work, Zoe is a registered volunteer for Pets as Therapy, a national charity providing visits to schools, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. She takes her dog Kevin, offering support to those in need and a little animal companionship.

Louis has spent over ten years in the construction industry, all with Stace, having started as a grad.

During that time, he’s worked with some fantastic clients like British Land, Silverstone Circuits, and The Portman Estate. He loves seeing a project come together and knowing he’s played a part in making it happen-especially when there are tricky problems to solve along the way.

When he’s not at work, you’ll probably find Louis out running or training for his next triathlon. He’s a keen competitor and recently finished Ironman Barcelona in an impressive 10 hours and 50 minutes.

Following the successful completion of his Building Surveying degree, Nick joined Stace in 1998 and went on to achieve Chartered Surveyor status in 2000 after sitting his APC.

Throughout his career at Stace, Nick has worked with a wide range of clients on complex and challenging projects. He thrives on the variety of work the business undertakes and values the close collaboration across divisions and with colleagues.

In his day to day role, Nick is involved in project delivery, contract administration, professional building surveying instructions, party wall matters, and provides ongoing support to colleagues within the Building Surveying division.

Beyond the office, Nick enjoys family time, being outdoors, camping holidays and outdoor cooking.

Lee has been working as a Quantity Surveyor for 19 years. He began his career at Stace in 2006 and studied for his HND in Quantity Surveying at the College of Estate Management. Since then, he has progressed from Assistant Quantity Surveyor to Associate Quantity Surveyor.

Over the years, Lee has worked on a variety of projects ranging from residential to commercial developments. He now specialises in the education sector, primarily working with independent schools. Over the years, his clients have included Roedean School, Sydenham School, the Girls’ Day School Trust, Big Yellow, and St Clement Danes Church.

On a typical working day, Lee can be found cost planning, preparing cost reports, managing procurement and contracts, and providing value engineering recommendations.

Away from work, Lee coaches his son’s football team – the Bengeo Tigers Malayans and enjoys playing ice hockey for the Romford Rebels.

Hannah joined Stace in 2024, having worked in the industry for five years in New Zealand.

She has been leading the Portman Estate’s major refurbishment portfolio, comprising nine projects across a range of sectors including commercial, office, residential, and mixed-use developments.

Hannah serves as the key client contact managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. She leads the design process across various projects and ensures consultant deliverables are met to the highest standards.

She is passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes for her clients and takes great pride in the final result.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys discovering new places across the UK and Europe, with a particular interest in the local food and architecture.

Nicholas Murphy

Nicholas has been with Stace since 2003, when he joined as a Graduate Building Surveyor. He achieved RICS Chartership in 2012 and transitioned into project management the following year. Over the years, Nicholas has developed deep expertise across large multi-plot developments, infrastructure, residential-led regeneration and mixed-use schemes, as well as industrial and commercial projects. His client portfolio includes British Land, Enfield Council, Wrenbridge, and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
 
In his day to day role, Nicholas provides Project Management services which includes acting as an Employer’s Agent or Contract Administrator, overseeing design from inception to completion, stakeholder engagement, internal team and resource management, and bidding for new work.
 
He is passionate about sharing knowledge with junior team members, mentoring, problem-solving, and helping to develop the next generation at Stace.
 
At the weekend, Nicholas enjoys walking his German Shepherd, Finn, attending his son’s football matches—he’s never missed a game—and spending time in Donegal, Ireland.

With 25 years of experience in Quantity Surveying across major property and construction sectors in Europe and Africa, Joseph has a proven track record in financial management.
 
He excels in producing accurate cost reports and forecasts and has a strong background in change management and control, ensuring compliance with business management systems.
 
Joseph possesses extensive knowledge of contract management, including contract negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution.
 
Joseph is the Cost Management Partner in the London Office, responsible for quality assurance and standard documentation. He is passionate about mentoring younger members of staff and sharing his expertise in master planning, mixed-use, residential, commercial spaces, infrastructure projects, and whole life carbon.
 
Outside of work, you’ll find Joseph in the great outdoors, often flyfishing.

Katharine Flank

Katharine Flank

Project Director

With 25 years in the industry, Katharine has been a Chartered Surveyor for over 20. 

Beginning her career as a Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent, she later moved into Development Monitoring and today boasts a great deal of experience in all aspects of development. 

As a Project Director in Stace’s Monitoring Surveying team, Katharine is responsible for providing Funder Representative, Development, Fund and Compliance Monitoring Services to a wide range of clients. 

Having worked for a host of high-profile clients, including The Portman Estate, Greystar, and HSBC, she excels in working on developments with complex contractural challenges and funding agreements.

Katharine gets a great deal of satisfaction providing guidance and being a friendly sounding board to colleagues approaching their APC. In her free time, you can find Katharine at the beach, whether that’s walking in the winter, swimming, or trying to improve her paddle-boarding in the summer.

Julian Cox

Julian has worked in the construction industry for 35 years, beginning his career as an Architectural Technician in 1986. After being made redundant in the early 1990s and facing challenges re-entering the architectural field, he chose to pivot, enrolling in a full-time Building Management degree in 1993. That decision marked the start of his career in project management, and he hasn’t looked back since.

Julian rejoined Stace in 2016, having previously worked with the business from 2005 to 2006. Since returning, he has delivered projects across the retail, residential, commercial, and site remediation sectors, serving both private and public sector clients. His portfolio includes work with notable names such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Merlin Entertainment, and BeFirst.

Outside of work, Julian is passionate about living life to the fullest. During rugby season, you’ll find him at Stonex Stadium, cheering on his team, Saracens. He’s an avid outdoorsman who enjoys trail running, cycling, skiing, and walking his dog through the local fields. He also has a love for DIY and hands-on craftsmanship, recently beginning work on his first resin table, crafted from Epping Forest oak.
