A family-centric sports facility for Medway.

We are excited to be part of the team delivering a new state-of-the-art leisure facility for Rainham on behalf of Medway Council. The development will see new fitness, health, wellbeing and swimming facilities. Accessible facilities will be provided throughout to serve all members of the community, including the elderly, less mobile, children and young people.

The facility will feature two swimming pools; a children’s fun pool with flume, a wave ball pool and beach area, and a training pool for lane swimming and lessons. The fitness gym and free weights areas will benefit from views of the park and the multi-purpose fitness studio will allow group workouts, wellbeing sessions and children’s parties.

To support Medway Council’s sustainability ambitions, cycle storage and electric charging parking spaces are included in the plans, along with energy-efficient systems such as photovoltaics, air-sourced heat pumps and heat recovery.

Construction started in March 2023 with an aim to have the centre ready for residents to use by early 2024.
