Background
Construction of new £23 million leisure centre. The council’s vision for the new leisure centre was that it should be an iconic leisure centre as part of their proposal for regeneration.
Our Role
The project included the demolition of an existing Community Centre, together with site clearance and major service divisions. The site is extremely small and located on a major road junction, surrounded on other sides by existing properties.
Our Impact
The leisure centre comprises a 25m 10 lane pool, 4 court sports hall, 100 station gym, 2 squash courts together with studios, reception areas and cafes etc. The brief included that the existing Dagenham pool had to be kept apart until the new centre is open.
