A family-centric sports facility for Medway

We are excited to have delivered services on a new state-of-the-art leisure facility for Rainham on behalf of Medway Council. The development includes new fitness, health, wellbeing and swimming facilities. Accessible facilities are provided throughout to serve all members of the community, including the elderly, less mobile, children and young people.

The facility features two swimming pools; a children’s fun pool with flume, a wave ball pool and beach area, and a training pool for lane swimming and lessons. The fitness gym and free weights areas benefits from views of the park and the multi-purpose fitness studio allows group workouts, wellbeing sessions and children’s parties.

To support Medway Council’s sustainability ambitions, cycle storage and electric charging parking spaces were included in the plans, along with energy-efficient systems such as photovoltaics, air-sourced heat pumps and heat recovery.

Construction started in March 2023 and the centre reached practical completion in May 2024. Cozenton Park Sports Centre opened to residents in July 2024.
