Background

Development of 62,000 ft² of collaborative works place space for WeWork.

The development of CAT B office space to six floors and an exclusive new entrance off Primrose Street for WeWork. Stace were appointed by British Land to manage the two-stage project, within a challenging programme and a development cost of £7.5 million. Works included a procured feature staircase leading to a new reception, in addition to a secondary internal staircase to maximise connectivity within the space.

Our Role

Stace managed the development from inception to completion, coordinating the client design team, contractor and the existing building management team.

Our Impact

As the works were undertaken by British Land on behalf of the incoming tenant WeWork, the tenant was closely involved throughout the project. This required close management of shareholders and clients, to ensure the project objectives were met, particularly in relation to change management.

Due to the nature of the tenant’s operations and challenging deadline, a programme driven and hands on approach to the project was required. This included ‘day to day’ management of coordination of the client design team, the contractor and the existing building management team.
