Background

In 2019, Cambridge United Football Club unveiled plans for a new 12,000 seat stadium.

Cambridge United compete in League Two and are currently based at Abbey Stadium, an 8,000 capacity stadium located on Newmarket Road.

A possible location for the proposed stadium has been identified on land included in Marshalls’ and the County Council’s call for sites, situated near to junction 35 (Quy) on the A14.

The Club’s plans are to create a sustainable design for a sustainable location, with multi-use purposes beyond the ability to host football matches such as – concerts, conferences, extended community activities, medical centres, and a quality design fit for Cambridge with a 12,000 capacity and scope to grow.

Our Role

Stace has been providing Cost Management and advisory services on the proposed stadium which will also include other uses such as staging concerts and conferences.
