Background

Refurbishment and remodelling of existing vacant building.

Spanning 4 floors to create flexible office workspace for our client, British Land.

Our Role

Stace provided Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Cost Management services to British Land for the strip out, refurbishment and remodelling of 18-20 Appold Street.

Our Impact

The client was launching a new flexible workspace brand called ‘Storey’, this along with two other projects in London were to be the flagship products for the brand and highlight what is being offered for potential tenants by British Land.

Works involved an all new mechancial and electrical system including comfort cooling, WC’s and shower rooms, new hydraulic passenger lift, new timber and vinyl flooring, lighting and decoration throughout, kitchen/tea points to each floor and flexible communal meeting rooms. The existing main flat roof area previously unused was converted into a usable space including new insulation and waterproofing overlaid with scaffold board decking fixed to a steel sub frame. Meeting rooms and cycle storage spaces were also provided to the roof terrace area.
