Background

Fit-out of a modern workspace built with pioneering timber architecture.

British Land has completed the latest addition to their Storey portfolio with 6 Orsman Road in the creative hub Haggerston.

Our client’s commitment to sustainable development is demonstrated using natural, environmentally friendly materials, like cross-laminated timber (CLT) and installing solar panels and smart LED lighting.

The project involved modifying the CLT structure in order to introduce a new feature staircase through the building. Constructing a café at ground floor and creating several flexible tenancies with shared spaces across levels one to five, was key to ensuring the creation of an appealing, agile workspace.

The building benefits from exposed timber, natural light and a waterside setting, all of which contribute to making it an inspiring place to work. A roof terrace with panoramic views over London, further enhances its attraction.
