Brian Sheppard FRICS, former Partner at Stace LLP passed away

It is with great sadness that the Partners of Stace announce former Partner Brian Sheppard (“Sheppy”) passed away on Sunday 5th September.

Brian joined Stace as a Partner in 1990, following the merger with London practice Frank N Faulkner. Brian retired as a Partner in 2011 but continued to work for the business on a consultancy basis until 2019.

With widespread experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying, Brian was recognised as a specialist in the refurbishment and development of Grade I & II listed buildings for both private and public clients.

In addition, with the introduction of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 (CDM), Brian was instrumental in establishing our successful Health and Safety Division.

Many of our partners and employees at Stace knew him well and have learnt from his extensive experience and knowledge.

Brian will be sadly missed by many. Our thoughts are with his family during this sad time.

“Brian made a significant contribution to the success of Stace during his time here. He had a wealth of knowledge and experience from his lifetime in construction and was a willing source of sound advice for colleagues at all levels. He was also a real character who could always be relied upon for a great story, not all of which suggested he would make health and safety a mainstay of his career in later life!”
