Ground Breaking Ceremony at Brooklands, Cambridge

The recent groundbreaking ceremony that took place at Brooklands marks an important step in delivering a cutting-edge new business campus in the heart of Cambridge. Purposely designed for tech businesses the  67,000 sq ft of workspace is spread across two buildings and includes 300 secure cycle spaces.

Designed for net zero carbon and fossil fuel-free operation, this campus prioritises sustainability and wellness for new ways of working.  The buildings will benefit from high levels of fresh air ventilation throughout and are surrounded by private gardens in the courtyard planted with native trees. The site’s central location within the city allows for access via bike or foot, reducing the need for vehicles.  The project is due to be completed by the end of 2024.

The client is Prudential Real Estate Ltd, the fund manager is M&G Real Estate and the development manager is Wrenbridge.

The project team includes SDC Builders Ltd, CPW, Allies and Morrison, Bidwells and Ramboll.  Stace is acting as Cost Consultants and Employer’s Agent.
