Plans submitted for Queen’s Hospital Close Birmingham

Plans have been submitted for Queen’s Hospital Close, a new mixed-use residential scheme.

The project, submitted to Birmingham City Council, is set to bring together 759 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) bedrooms and 189 build to rent apartments.

A key feature to the scheme is the refurbishment of two listed buildings which will bring new life to them and will include facilities such as a public café and gym.

Queen’s Hospital Close is designed with a landscape-led approach, which intends to enhance the city’s gated area. The plan aims to encourage locals to be more connected with their outdoor surroundings, offering spaces for enjoyment, and relaxation whilst improving wellbeing.

Plans for Queen’s Hospital Close are currently under review by the local authority, a decision is anticipated in early autumn 2023.
