Industry Round Table Debate

In November Stace hosted a round table debate bringing together industry leaders from across the built environment.

As part of 60 & Counting with the focus on building our future, we held the round table to lead the conversation on the skills shortage affecting our industry.

We were delighted to be joined by leaders from organisations including CITB, RICS and Construction Youth Trust.

Following the release of the Stace Next Gen Index, which identified just 7% of 16-18-year-olds in the UK would like to pursue a career in the built environment. The round table was the opportunity to bring together leaders to collaborate on how we can tackle this increasing challenge.

Partners, James Darbyshire and Gareth Sinnamon attended the round table.

Gareth Sinnamon commented; ‘The roundtable once again shone a light on the fantastic opportunities our industry has to offer. However, there is a need to do more collectively to make the industry more attractive and better at retaining talent. If we can collaborate further across the sector, perhaps we can make greater strides in tackling the challenge.’
