Albert Whitehead and England set for World Indoor Lacrosse Championships

Following selection in June, Quantity Surveyor, Albert Whitehead and the England squad are in Canada ready for the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.

Albert first started playing lacrosse in 2011 when studying at Bournemouth University. In his final season at university, he played for the South of England team at the British National Championships. This will be Albert’s second time representing England having previously appeared at the European Championships in Turku, 2017.

England have a tough start to the championships playing hosts and reigning champions, Canada on Friday 20 September. This will be followed by group fixtures against Isreal (21st), Iroquois Nationals (22nd) and USA (23rd) before the knock-out stages begin on Tuesday, 24th.

Following their 5th place finish in the 2015 tournament, England are hoping to progress further in the 2019 championships.

Stace is proud to support Albert and we wish him and the rest of the England squad the best of luck at the 2019 championships.
