Liberty of Southwark

Discovered Roman mosaics to form part of the London site redevelopment
The Liberty is a substantial mixed-use office and residential development in the Borough of Southwark in a prominent position on Southwark Bridge Road, in close proximity to London Bridge Station and Borough Market, regenerating a site that has been derelict for many years.
The proposed development includes for more than 200,000 sq. ft. of high grade commercial space, affordable workspace, retail units and 36 new homes.
The site is of high archaeological interest following the unearthing of some of the best-preserved Roman mosaics found in London in the last fifty years which will be showcased in a dedicated mausoleum within the development.
With its location the development is situated above the Jubilee line and is adjacent to a Network Rail viaduct.
