Progress continues in Slough with the North West Quadrant mixed use scheme now submitted for planning.
This major regeneration project will deliver a transformational mixed-use development, creating a destination where people can live, work and connect.
The scheme will provide 1,505 new homes across 11 buildings, including 325 co-living units. It will also deliver 250,030 sqm of gross external area of office space within a single building, alongside 3,000 sqm of Class E retail and food and beverage space to serve local needs and support a community offer. In addition, the development includes 450 sqm of nursery space for approximately 75 children and 415 parking spaces. A significant amount of landscape area will be delivered opening up the site and enhancing the area for locals to use with connectivity to the town centre and the station.
NWQ is being delivered in phases to ensure flexibility and long-term viability.
Sustainability is central to the design, with the project aiming to support Slough’s growth by helping meet local housing need while minimising environmental impact and enhancing the town’s appeal as a vibrant, well-connected destination.
By integrating retail, leisure and cultural facilities, North West Quadrant will support Slough’s evening economy, attract new businesses and enhance the visitor experience, building on the positive change already driven by the town’s Urban Renewal partnership.
