The redevelopment of London South East Colleges’ Greenwich Campus has delivered a £45m, 5,500 sq m educational facility designed to enhance skills provision across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The scheme involved the demolition of the existing campus buildings and the construction of a state-of-the-art facility featuring classrooms, wellbeing spaces, a student wellbeing and welfare space, a Mac studio, a training kitchen and a learning resource centre. Designed to support teaching and learning, the development provides a modern environment for students, staff and the wider community.
Supported by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the Greater London Authority and the Department for Education, the project represents a significant investment in further education within the borough. The campus is also one of the country’s only BREEAM Outstanding further education buildings.
The campus remained fully operational throughout construction, with an adjacent residential development adding to the complexity of the scheme. Delivering the project within a live educational environment required close coordination across the project team, careful planning to minimise disruption and a flexible approach to project delivery, ensuring continuity for students, staff and the wider community throughout the works.
The project reached practical completion in February 2026, ahead of the campus’s official opening in September 2026.
Stace provided Cost Management and Employer’s Agent services throughout the project.
