Camden Film Quarter is a proposed new masterplan featuring film and TV studios, new affordable housing, and vibrant public spaces.
Located in the heart of Kentish Town, this transformative development will deliver a group of new film and television studios. This includes post production facilities and offices for creative businesses, as the industrial site is redeveloped into what is anticipated to be a world class creative district.
The masterplan includes the construction of over 1,000 new homes, with 50% designated as affordable housing. Designed to prioritise quality and community, the homes offer family friendly layouts, terraces, and communal gardens.
In partnership with the National Film and Television School and The London Screen Academy, the scheme will provide an education hub and specialist training spaces offering world class film and TV education within a live studio setting.
Camden Film Quarter will incorporate two acres of public open space, more than 140 new trees, six play areas, and 400m² of rain gardens. Sustainability is central to the design, with an energy hub planned to support a low carbon neighbourhood.
Bringing creativity, community, and opportunity together, the development will also provide community amenities, cultural venues, and support for local businesses, creating a place where creative production, living, and leisure emerge.
The regeneration is expected to bring over 1,000 new jobs to the Kentish Town area.
