Lambeth Mission Lambeth

Reshaping the London Borough of Lambeth

Lambeth Mission is a key local development that has transformed the Lambeth Mission and St Mary’s building on Lambeth Road in South London.

The project involved the strip out and demolition of the existing church building. The construction on a compact footprint of a new 12-storey, 137-bedroom GRC clad hotel, and a new church community building including two residential units characterised by a contemporary brick arch façade.

The scheme also features enhanced facilities, including public spaces to the basement and ground floors of the hotel along with a roof top garden to the church, plus meeting rooms and new catering facilities for the local community.

A BREEAM sustainable certification of ‘Excellent’ was met and practical completion was achieved in September 2024.

Stace provided Cost Management, Employer’s Agent, Project Management and Principal Designer services, as well as Client duties under the CDM Regulations on this project.
