After earning a Journalism degree from the University of Roehampton, Beatrice completed an MA in Media & Communications before transitioning into Marketing, attracted by the versatility, growth opportunities, and creativity. 

Joining Stace in 2023, Beatrice works closely with the Marketing Manager, acting as brand custodian and managing digital communications across the company website, newsletter, and social media channels.

Outside of work, when she’s not singing (she leads her church choir), she enjoys sharing her culinary adventures on Instagram and TikTok. She is also an enthusiastic baker, with a repertoire including triple chocolate banana bread, cookies, and gooey chocolate brownies.

Having worked as a retail manager, Dan moved into retail planning and construction in 2014. Joining Stace in 2022 with a wealth of food and non-food retail projects under his belt, Dan jumped into a Tesco Express store programme before moving to the pre-construction side of the business. 

Today, Dan is responsible for liaising with developers, landlords, and clients, developing lease packs, and supporting with site monitoring and risk management. He still gets a kick out of seeing a new retail unit open its doors to customers, knowing the journey it’s been on to make that day happen. 

In his spare time, Dan has been actively involved in school governance for 20 years and is currently Director of an academy trust in Thurrock, supporting the education of over 2,000 primary school pupils.

Having achieved a First-Class BSc in Project Management for Construction in 2020, and a Distinction in MSc Construction Economics and Management in 2021, Kelvin joined Stace as a Graduate Project Manager.

Keen to put his learning into practice, Kelvin leapt straight into projects and undertook a nine-month secondment with The Portman Estate in 2022, working across their commercial and residential portfolio. 

Achieving his Chartership in 2024, he has worked with a number of clients including British Land and the City of London Corporation, with responsibilities across programme management, stakeholder management, Employer’s Agent, budget management, and risk management. 

At the weekend Kelvin is often out running, training for his next race, or walking his dog Bueno. He’s passionate about sharing his knowledge and supporting others starting out in the industry.

Mel Adams

Mel Adams

Senior Project Manager

Mel has worked in the Project Management industry for over 20 years, starting her career as a Project Co-ordinator and progressing to her current role as a Senior Project Manager through hard work and determination. Her career has spanned various companies, beginning with BT on the WHS Account.

She has always worked within the retail sector and enjoys the fast-paced environment it offers. Recent clients include Tesco Stores Ltd, Co-op Food Stores and Funeral Care Sites.

Mel joined Stace in 2021 and has embraced the opportunity to work across the construction industry—a new chapter in her career, having previously held a position as an IT Project Manager.

Outside of project management, Mel recently earned her BSAC Sports Diver qualification and is now certified to dive to 40 metres. She’s looking forward to diving in Malta, where the visibility and warmth will be a welcome change from her previous experiences.

Beyond scuba diving, Mel loves skiing, Ceroc (modern jive dancing), and spending time with her family and animals at home.

Elly joined Stace in 2014 after completing her Mathematics degree. Initially part of the administration team, she moved into a technical role in 2017 while studying for a Master’s in Construction Management.
 
Elly currently works as a Senior Project Manager in our Birmingham office, where she also delivers monitoring surveying services.
 
She has vast experience delivering student accommodation and heritage projects, having worked with clients such as McLaren Property and the National Trust.
 
After achieving RICS Chartership in 2023, Elly has been dedicated to supporting graduates in the Birmingham office through their APC journey.
 
Outside of work, Elly is passionate about fundraising for causes close to her heart. Following her recent diagnosis with Type 1 Diabetes, she completed a 62-mile run in March, raising £650 for Diabetes UK.
 
She is also a Wolves fan and fondly recalls her dad taking her to every home game from the age of 5!

Jonathan has been in the industry for over 40 years, 28 of them with Stace.

Having worked in commercial architecture practices as an Architect, Jonathan joined Stace and moved into Project Management, where he now works with clients including BDO, Quintain, Jaguar Land Rover, Tottenham Hotspur, and The Portman Estate.

Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide variety of interesting projects, some very specialised and unusual, all of which have embedded his passion for creating a sustainable future for the generations to come. 

Jonathan is involved in Stace’s Graduate Development Scheme, supporting younger members of the team and sharing his knowledge and expertise.

Outside of work, he enjoys working with wood – everything from processing fallen trees into firewood to building indoor and outdoor projects at home.

Ben Shelbourne

Ben began his career eight years ago at Turner & Townsend, where he worked on major infrastructure projects including the Heathrow third runway and Network Rail’s Crossrail programme.

In 2019, Ben joined Stace and became a Chartered Project Manager in 2020. Since then, he has played a key role in several high-profile developments, including 155 Bishopsgate a large commercial refurbishment with British Land, a new medical research laboratory for Imperial College London, and more recently, a hotel and residential tower project for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Ben is passionate about building collaborative team environments and takes pride in delivering successful outcomes and long-lasting relationships across every project he works on. He also serves as a RICS supervisor, supporting the next generation of professionals on their chartership journey.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing golf and spending weekends with friends, often exploring new restaurants

With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1st Class Hons) under her belt, Florence spent five years working as a Structural Engineer in Wellington, New Zealand, gaining experience in both design consultancy and with a main building contractor.

In 2024, she moved to London and transitioned into project management with Stace, where she has worked on residential and education projects for clients including Summix Capital, the City of London Corporation, and Homes England.

Florence's main responsibilities include working with developers, clients, consultants and contractors to build and maintain strong working relationships, drafting technical reports and preparing programmes, recognising and managing project risks and reporting to clients.

Her passions include supporting women in sport and travelling. She can often be found exploring new places across the UK or hopping over to somewhere in Europe at the weekend.

Graham Saffill

Associate

Graham brings over 20 years of experience in project management, beginning his career as an apprentice in facilities management.

He joined Stace in 2020, and has since worked extensively with clients in the heritage and cultural sectors, including the Houses of Parliament, V&A Museum, British Museum, the National Trust, and Imperial College.

A Chartered Engineer by background, Graham has played a key role in delivering projects such as the British Museum Energy Centre Programme.

Louis has spent over ten years in the construction industry, all with Stace, having started as a grad.

During that time, he’s worked with some fantastic clients like British Land, Silverstone Circuits, and The Portman Estate. He loves seeing a project come together and knowing he’s played a part in making it happen-especially when there are tricky problems to solve along the way.

When he’s not at work, you’ll probably find Louis out running or training for his next triathlon. He’s a keen competitor and recently finished Ironman Barcelona in an impressive 10 hours and 50 minutes.

Monica Kadandara

Monica has been in the industry for over 10 years, spending the majority of that time at Stace. 

Now working at Associate level, she has led cost management duties both precontract and post contract including, tender preparation, and valuations across a variety of projects. She also serves as the primary client contact for day-to-day project delivery and also brings expertise in Monitoring Surveying.

Having achieved RICS Chartership in 2019, Monica is passionate about mentoring junior staff and supporting them through the APC process.

Outside the office, Monica’s ideal weekend involves a walk through the forest or along the beach – nothing beats a nature reset!

Amy joined Stace in 2010 and moved into her current role as Partnership Secretary in 2017. 

She is primarily responsible for personal assistant tasks, providing dedicated support to the management board. She also supports with insurance matters and commercial compliance, working closely with the HR team and Partnership Accountant, in addition to organising company events and socials. 

Outside of work, Amy can usually be found running around after her two children, spending time with friends, and traveling as much as possible.

She also enjoys amateur photography, finding it helps her slow down and appreciate the present. She loves to capture moments with her children and snap photos of anything that catches her attention.

Andrew McGowan

Andrew has worked in the property and construction industry for over 20 years, beginning his journey as a trainee building surveyor while studying part-time at university. Before joining Stace, he gained valuable experience at several property consultancies.

He joined the Stace Leeds office in January 2011, where he transitioned from building surveying into project management. Later that year, he moved to the London office, continuing to build his expertise within the industry.

Andrew has delivered projects for high-profile clients including Muse, Quintain, Telford Living, Landsec, and Virgin Active. He’s passionate about finding more efficient ways of working, enhancing the quality of service the business offers, and mentoring younger members of the project management team.

When he’s not driving projects forward, Andrew is a proud Huddersfield Town supporter and season ticket holder.

Richard Roberts

Richard Roberts

Richard has worked in the construction industry for 47 years and is passionate about helping the next generation achieve their full potential. 

Having attended Civil Engineering College, Richard completed a Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship. Following a move to London, he swiftly moved up the management ladder, working on high-profile projects, including at Canary Wharf, The Royal Household, undertaking refurbishment projects at Buckingham Palace, and, following a transition into Health & Safety in 2003, at the Olympic Park during the 2012 Olympic Games. 

Joining Stace in 2015, he is now responsible for ensuring the Pre-Construction Phase of projects is managed correctly, as Principal Designer. He works with contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, carrying out safety inspections and providing clients with the necessary Health & Safety paperwork on completion. 

Richard is also a fully qualified Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies, providing services at weddings and boxing matches.

Richard Jones

Project Director

Richard has worked in the construction industry for over 15 years. He began his career as a Construction Manager for an enabling works contractor before progressing into consultancy in construction management, and later into project management.

He joined Stace in 2024 and has since worked on schemes including Norge’s 20 Giltspur Street and Tellon Capital’s 40 Broadway.

His expertise lies in programme management, buildability, logistics, construction sequencing, and enabling works. He thrives on leading project teams to drive project success and is passionate about working on projects that involve complex engineering solutions.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys keeping fit.

Julian Cox

Julian Cox

Project Director

Julian has worked in the construction industry for 35 years, beginning his career as an Architectural Technician in 1986. After being made redundant in the early 1990s and facing challenges re-entering the architectural field, he chose to pivot, enrolling in a full-time Building Management degree in 1993. That decision marked the start of his career in project management, and he hasn’t looked back since.

Julian rejoined Stace in 2016, having previously worked with the business from 2005 to 2006. Since returning, he has delivered projects across the retail, residential, commercial, and site remediation sectors, serving both private and public sector clients. His portfolio includes work with notable names such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Merlin Entertainment, and BeFirst.

Outside of work, Julian is passionate about living life to the fullest. During rugby season, you’ll find him at Stonex Stadium, cheering on his team, Saracens. He’s an avid outdoorsman who enjoys trail running, cycling, skiing, and walking his dog through the local fields. He also has a love for DIY and hands-on craftsmanship, recently beginning work on his first resin table, crafted from Epping Forest oak.

Fred Makins

Fred Makins

Having completed his Building Surveying degree, Fred spent a number of years as an Assistant Building Surveyor working for a multi-disciplinary consultancy before joining Stace in 2022, where he is now a Senior Building Surveyor having become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor in 2024.  

In his current role, Fred manages The Arch Company Framework Account for Contract Administrator and Building Surveying services.

Aside from the above, Fred has experience across a range of sectors – including local authority, education, and commercial. His client portfolio includes London Borough of Enfield, St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan Trust, Goldman Sachs, Kent and Medway Partnership NHS Trust, and Cadogan Estates.

Fred is passionate about mentoring and enjoys sharing his knowledge with junior members of the team.

Away from the office, he spends time with family and friends and has a taste for adventure – having skydived in South Africa and hiked up Machu Picchu, in south Peru.
