Located in Hertfordshire, The Wine Society expanded its storage facility with the construction of new 46,000 sq ft ‘Warehouse 5’ and adjacent service yard. The new warehouse has delivered much needed additional temperature controlled on-site storage space, together with a larger and enhanced service yard.
The new warehouse includes complex mechanical and electrical systems to ensure both temperature and humidity control alongside an advanced fire suppression system.
The Wine Society was keen to ensure that sustainability and low energy consumption are a fundamental consideration in the design of Warehouse 5, which is highly insulated, and the roof designed to accommodate a future PV solar panel array.
