The transformation of an existing, but dated, paddling pool into a mix of pool and splash park was a priority for Harlow Council as a way of bringing the community together and enhancing outdoor facilities for families.
Stace was initially asked to provide a feasibility report to review the current site to assess various options for refurbishment, partial upgrade, or replacement of one fo the paddling pools. We were subsequently appointed to manage the construction phase.
The Splash Park incorporates a new plant room, drainage system, external landscaping, a new water feature, and has been designed to be fully wheelchair accessible.
The new park includes water arcs, water jets and blasts, water curtains and streaming showers.
Stace provided Project Management, Cost Management, Building Surveying, and CDM services for Harlow Council.
