This major regeneration scheme near to Tottenham Hale Station is a residential-led, mixed-use development, situated on the River Lee Navigation.
Hale Wharf has been designated one of the Mayor of London’s Housing Zones, meaning the project makes an important contribution to both the Mayor and the Council’s aspirations for 2,000 new homes in Tottenham Hale.
Our client, Waterside Places , is a joint venture between national urban regeneration specialist, Muse Developments, and the Canal & River Trust. The partnership’s brief was to provide up to 505 homes, consisting of private sale, affordable, and Build to Rent (BTR) housing.
The project involved the demolition of existing industrial buildings, along with enabling works to clear contamination, installation of a services corridor, and formation the new bell mouth entrance.
The development was delivered in two phases. The first phase of 249 homes completed shortly before the opening of Hale Wharf Bridge – a key piece of infrastructure installed over the River Lee Navigation – in early summer 2021. The second phase of homes was completed in August 2024.
