Greenwich Peninsula Regeneration Project

The redevelopment of Greenwich Peninsula, 150 acres of land wrapped by 1.6 miles of the river Thames, to the south of the O2 arena, is a 30-year regeneration project to transform the area into a new community for thousands of people.

Once complete, the area will be home to 17,000 new homes, 48 acres of open green space and parkland, and 3.5 million sq ft of commercial space, including communal areas, landscaped gardens, leisure facilities, and retail units.

Stace has worked with Knight Dragon across a number of projects, providing Health, Safety and Risk Management, covering the whole development and interests, CDM-C and Principal Designer.

Projects:

Three residential plots, formed of duplex units and two-storey townhouses, offering a mix of private, intermediate, and social for rent homes, built in accordance with the code of sustainable homes, the London Housing Guide, and Secure by Design.

Launched in 2019, The Tide is London’s first linear garden walkway. Connecting the River Thames and the Thames path, it hosts art installations including pieces from Damian Hirst, Allen Jones and Morag Myerscough, meditation points, and gardens.

Designed in collaboration by DS + R, Studio Morison and GROSS MAX, using prefabrication and parametric 3D modelling, with The Tide set atop a steel monocoque structure.

Stace was also involved in The Design District; 16 buildings, designed by eight pioneering architects and London’s only permanent, purpose-build workplace for the creative industry. Offering work and breakout spaces, an on-site restaurant, street food hall and a rooftop basketball court.
