Featuring a children’s play pool with flume and beach area, as well as a fitness gym and exercise studio, Cozenton Park Sport Centre in Rainham offers a state-of-the-art leisure facility and recreational space for people in the Medway area.
Replacing a 30-year-old facility, the new structure is highly insulated, with exposed timber and hybrid steelwork frame. The fitness gym and free weights areas benefits from views of the park, and the multi-purpose fitness studio allows group workouts, wellbeing sessions and children’s parties.
To support Medway Council’s sustainability ambitions, cycle storage and electric charging parking spaces were included in the plans, along with energy-efficient systems such as photovoltaics, air-sourced heat pumps and heat recovery.
