Building the Next Generation of Learning Spaces in Wembley

Situated in Wembley, the College of North West London is a new, state‑of‑the‑art further education campus.

The £93 million scheme forms part of the redevelopment of United Colleges Group’s estate, which was created following the 2017 merger of City of Westminster College and the College of North West London (CNWL). In order to allow it to deliver world class Further Education in the future, the CNWL chose to bring its facilities together into a single new‑build campus on a site at Olympic Way. CNWL currently operates across two sites at Willesden and Wembley which will be vacated as part of the redevelopment.

The 14,000m² campus will be delivered across an eight‑storey building arranged around a full‑height atrium. It is designed to meet the future needs of further education by providing lively, vibrant, and flexible spaces that support both social and independent learning. It brings together specialist teaching areas, advanced workshops, science laboratories, hair and beauty salons, IT classrooms, and a modern learning resource centre.

A second‑floor roof terrace, integrated canteen, and café enhance the student experience and support wellbeing on site. The scheme also incorporates a dedicated Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) unit, including specialist support classrooms, a training kitchen, personal care facilities, and sensory rooms to deliver inclusive, high‑quality learning provision.

A strong focus has been placed on both architectural quality and sustainability throughout the scheme, with the building expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

With Stace having provided multidisciplinary services across a range of schemes within the Wembley Park district, this project represents a continued contribution to the enhancement of the area.

Works started on site in March 2026, with the project due to reach practical completion in April 2029.

We have been working alongside the College of North West London since 2017, supporting the client with Cost Management and Employer’s Agent services.
