Biggleston Yard Canterbury

Development of a historic site in the heart of Kent's leading tourist destination

Named after HM Biggleston & Sons, a family-run ironmonger business which was in operation from 1835 until 1963, Biggleston Yard will bring a new and exciting visitor experience to Canterbury, whilst being sympathetic to the city’s heritage and history.

Involving partial demolition, an extension, and refurbishment of existing buildings, and the addition of new buildings, this retail-led development will include a new pedestrian retail arcade and market hall, and public realm space.

The development will also create 332 service apartments, 33 residential units, and office space.

Stace is providing project management and employer’s agent services and overseeing the design and construction stages. CGL & Clague architects, Webb Yates structural engineer & M&E consultants, and RPS planning consultants make up the project team.
