5-8 London Road Brighton

Answering the demand for student accommodation in the heart of Brighton

Following the success of Moulsecoomb Way, Stace was appointed by McLaren Property to deliver a further student accommodation scheme in this vibrant city. In addition to 156 beds, 5-8 London Road provides communal areas and c.5,000 sq ft of retail space.

The development represents a substantial contribution towards the need for purpose-built student housing in Brighton and Hove. Located within the city centre, the development benefits from excellent transport links, (bus, train and cycle lanes) to Sussex University, The University of Brighton, and The Brighton Institute of Modern Music.

Works included the demolition and site clearance of three existing retail stores, piling and a new concrete frame.

Stace provided Project Management, Employer’s Agent, Cost Management, CDM Client Advisor, and Party Wall services.

Also on the project team were WGP Architects, HWA Structural Engineers and EDC Services Engineers, with HG Construction as Main Contractor.
