Katie joined Stace as a Trainee Building Surveyor in 2007, completing her degree part-time while gaining valuable industry experience. Earning her degree in 2012, she has since enjoyed working across the healthcare, office, and educational sectors, taking pride in seeing projects and ideas evolve from initial discussions to tangible outcomes.
 
Katie's responsibilities include developing feasibility designs based on client briefs, preparing planning applications and building regulation submissions, managing consultants throughout the design stages, and carrying out CAD design.
 
At the weekend, you can find her travelling, exploring, or spending time with her family.

Helen is the Marketing & Communications lead at Stace, where she shapes and delivers the marketing strategy while championing continuous improvement to support the company’s broader objectives.

With over 15 years’ experience crafting and executing campaigns across the full marketing mix, Helen has worked within the Built Environment sector since 2013. One of her proudest career moments was securing national media coverage for The Shard’s Christmas lights campaign — including a full feature on Blue Peter.

Since returning from maternity leave in 2022, Helen has worked a four-day week, yet continues to actively support our Responsible Business initiatives and is a committed member of the ED&I committee.

Whether deadheading roses, planting new bulbs or running races and finding “Stick Man” with her sons, Helen loves spending time in her garden at the weekend.

Katharine Flank

Katharine Flank

Project Director

With 25 years in the industry, Katharine has been a Chartered Surveyor for over 20. 

Beginning her career as a Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent, she later moved into Development Monitoring and today boasts a great deal of experience in all aspects of development. 

As a Project Director in Stace’s Monitoring Surveying team, Katharine is responsible for providing Funder Representative, Development, Fund and Compliance Monitoring Services to a wide range of clients. 

Having worked for a host of high-profile clients, including The Portman Estate, Greystar, and HSBC, she excels in working on developments with complex contractural challenges and funding agreements.

Katharine gets a great deal of satisfaction providing guidance and being a friendly sounding board to colleagues approaching their APC. In her free time, you can find Katharine at the beach, whether that’s walking in the winter, swimming, or trying to improve her paddle-boarding in the summer.

Adrian Murray

Adrian is a seasoned Project Director who has been a key part of Stace since 2005, bringing two decades of leadership and technical expertise to the organisation.

Originally from New Zealand, with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Adrian arrived in the UK following an enriching period of travel. He has since built a distinguished career in project delivery, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Adrian holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, NZ, and is a Member of the Association for Project Management. His passion for precision and collaboration, combined with an infinite mindset, has enabled him to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors with a focus on quality, innovation, and long-term value. Delivering for clients such as BT Group, McLaren Automotive, Jaguar Land Rover and Tesco.

Outside of work, Adrian is a volunteer with Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes, supporting urgent medical transport services. He is also a dedicated advocate for health and fitness, enjoying resistance training, cycling and canoeing with some national success.

His global perspective and adventurous spirit continue to inform his approach to leadership and problem-solving.

Maria brings over 20 years of payroll expertise, spanning everything from calculating pay and managing taxes to overseeing employee benefits and pensions across a wide range of sectors.

The past 11 years of her career has been spent with Stace, where she’s been trusted to manage the full payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while complying with tax laws and regulations—a role that she feels highly valued and supported in.

Maria describes herself as an outdoors enthusiastic and regularly engages on outdoors activities. She spends her free time cycling, playing tennis, gardening, and hiking—activities that keep her energised and connected to nature.

Tara Rowley

Project Manager

Tara has worked in the industry for 12 years, beginning her career client-side before transitioning into consultancy a decade ago. Her portfolio includes high-profile projects such as the Mandarin Oriental Knightsbridge, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Bar Boulud, Admiralty Arch, Pocket Living, Arnold House, and Camden Town Hall.

She joined Stace in 2022 and has since enjoyed working across projects with Qualis Living and Rangeford Villages. Tara thrives on delivering diverse projects and being part of a collaborative environment—working toward shared goals, continuously learning from others, and celebrating the success of each project.

When not immersed in work, Tara loves spending time with her family. Together, they enjoy exploring new landscapes across the UK and Ireland, embracing the beauty of nature whenever they can.

She is also passionate about volunteering in community gardening initiatives and animal charities, and expresses her creative side through drawing, writing, and art.

Gavin has worked in the construction industry for three years, following five years in the student accommodation sector.

He has completed his Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and is currently studying towards his Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) accreditation, on the path to becoming fully chartered.

In his role, Gavin is responsible for financial reporting and analysis, preparing financial statements, forecasting future results, and managing key account reconciliations.

He is passionate about mentoring emerging finance professionals and helping them grow in their careers.

At the weekend, you’ll most likely find Gavin on the golf course, enjoying a round and refining his swing.

Having worked with Stace for nearly three decades, Nick is a seasoned IT Coordinator with a deep background in maintaining and optimising IT infrastructure. Known for his technical expertise, he plays a key role in installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of the company’s systems.
 
Nick is always on hand to support colleagues with IT queries, manage helpdesk calls, maintain equipment, and contribute to IT project coordination and vendor management. He thrives on sharing his knowledge and experience with new members of the team.
 
Outside the world of IT, Nick enjoys metal detecting and uncovering the stories behind the historical items he finds.

Chris graduated from the University of Greenwich with a BSc in Quantity Surveying and has since built a career spanning nearly 40 years in the construction industry. He achieved his APC 25 years ago and continues to bring a wealth of experience to every project.

Since joining Stace in 2013, Chris has delivered a wide range of projects across sectors including commercial, retail, residential, education, and infrastructure, working with both private and public sector clients.

Away from his desk, Chris is always on the move—whether travelling, attending sporting events, or enjoying live music. Never one to shy away from adventure, he once completed a skydive from 15,000 feet!

Mick joined Stace in 2022, having worked with the team as a sub-contractor on Tesco projects.
 
Prior to that, Mick had spent 36 years working for Tesco in various management and group roles, including store refit manager and in retail planning. He went on to become installation manager for Stewart Signs, later setting up his own project management company.
 
Since joining Stace, Mick has delivered over 350 Tesco projects, including new spaces, remodels and refits, a legacy he is very proud of.
 
Outside work Mick is a qualified, skilled baker. He’s also very sporty, playing village cricket when he’s not supporting Portsmouth FC.

Mahmoud Ghoneim

After completing his BSc in Architecture, Mahmoud worked as a Junior Architecture Assistant before returning to university to complete his MSc in Project and Enterprise Management. He joined Stace and the Stace Graduate Development Scheme, in 2025.

Mahmoud is passionate about fostering collaboration and clarity across teams and works best when he is able to create a steady, enjoyable project environment by helping to identify, mitigate, and overcome concerns early on.

Outside the office, he dedicates time to tutoring students and delivering guest lectures at both secondary schools and universities. He also enjoys travelling with friends and family, embracing new experiences and cultures from around the world.

On weekends, you’ll often find him on Padel and basketball courts across London. He is active, competitive, and always up for a challenge!

Aaron Perry

Aaron Perry

Senior Building Safety Consultant

After several rewarding years as a Project Architect at Kennedy Woods Architecture, Aaron joined Stace as a Senior Building Safety Consultant in September 2025.

He has predominantly worked in the education and commercial sectors, with a particular focus on the retention and adaptive reuse of existing building stock, including those with historical listings. His broad range of experience across numerous construction disciplines now supports his work in delivering meaningful impact under the Building Safety Act.

Aaron is an ARB Registered Architect and a visiting critic at the University of Westminster, where he is invited regularly to review design studio submissions and final thesis projects from third-year undergraduate students.

He is passionate about creating positive change through built interventions, navigating complex parameters, and drawing on his past experience as a strong foundation.

When he's not focused on building safety, you’ll often find Aaron tackling endurance swims like the Thames Marathon, stretching from Henley-on-Thames to Marlow... because why drive when you can swim?

Sally joined Stace in 2021 as a Team Administrator, bringing her organisational and administrative expertise to the Quantity Surveying team.
 
She supports the QS team and five Partners in our Epping office, with key responsibilities including liaising with QSs across different offices, managing general administrative tasks, and assisting with PA duties.
 
Sally loves to travel, especially during the English winter—preferring warmer climates. On weekends, she enjoys spending time with friends, often over a meal at a nice restaurant.

Having worked as a retail manager, Dan moved into retail planning and construction in 2014. Joining Stace in 2022 with a wealth of food and non-food retail projects under his belt, Dan jumped into a Tesco Express store programme before moving to the pre-construction side of the business. 

Today, Dan is responsible for liaising with developers, landlords, and clients, developing lease packs, and supporting with site monitoring and risk management. He still gets a kick out of seeing a new retail unit open its doors to customers, knowing the journey it’s been on to make that day happen. 

In his spare time, Dan has been actively involved in school governance for 20 years and is currently Director of an academy trust in Thurrock, supporting the education of over 2,000 primary school pupils.

Joshua joined Stace in 2025 as a Graduate Building Surveyor, having completed a degree in Building Surveying at the University of Reading. He is currently working on projects with Enfield Council and Arch Co.

He is passionate about using construction to benefit communities, a theme he explored in depth through his dissertation on social value in the built environment.

Joshua enjoys playing football and, every few months, his family hosts an afternoon tea for elderly members of their community.

Georgia has nearly two years’ construction industry experience, starting as a graduate at a major contractor in Central London, where she worked with clients including Berkeley and Forseven. 

She holds an MA (Hons) in Finance and Business from the University of Edinburgh and is currently studying for an MSc in Quantity Surveying, with the aim of completing her APC thereafter.

A naturally curious individual, Georgia loves to ask questions and thrives on exploring the intricate details of different projects and industries.

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys drawing, hiking, and actively volunteering. Over the years, she has participated in initiatives such as the ICL Maker Challenge, Dragon Boat Racing in Canary Wharf, and the YMCA Girls Mentor programme, among many others.

Rajan Khamb

With over ten years’ experience in the industry, Rajan began his career in a family-run agency before moving into an Assistant Surveyor role and later progressing to chartered surveyor positions within leading multidisciplinary consultancies.

He joined Stace in February 2025 as a Senior Building Surveyor, based in the Birmingham office, where he supports the growth of the firm’s surveying presence across the Midlands and Northern regions. His role enables him to combine strong technical expertise with a client-focused approach, working across project management, contract administration, dilapidations and technical due diligence.

Rajan enjoys tackling complex property challenges and providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice. He is particularly passionate about delivering high-quality, considered guidance that adds genuine value for clients.

Beyond his project responsibilities, Rajan is committed to supporting and mentoring junior colleagues and helping broaden access to the surveying profession. He has participated in charity and outreach initiatives aimed at inspiring young people to explore careers in the built environment – something he finds especially rewarding.

Outside of work, Rajan enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, maintaining his fitness, and exploring new cities whenever he can.
