On Saturday, 14 March 2026, The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) officially re-opened The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert galleries at V&A South Kensington, unveiling a transformed home for the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Collection, one of the world’s most exceptional collections of decorative art.
Located on the first floor of the V&A’s historic Aston Webb building in South Kensington, the project involved the full refurbishment and expansion of the gallery suite. The redesign increases the space from four rooms to seven, providing a greatly enhanced setting for the display of more than 500 remarkable objects from the renowned collection.
The transformation has already been met with praise, receiving a 5 star review from The Guardian upon opening.
Stace supported the redevelopment by providing Project Management and Contract Administration services from inception through to completion of the Mainworks Contract. We also acted as Principal Designer under Part 2A of the Building Regulations. This project adds to the many we have proudly delivered for the V&A, one of our long standing clients, through our role on their Project Management and Cost Management Services Framework
