As a multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy, we know we have a responsibility to support our clients to deliver genuine social value and minimise their impact on the environment.
Our Responsible Business Committee meets monthly to ensure the objectives of our Responsible Business Strategy are being met. We also produce an annual review to highlight our achievements and demonstrate the progress we are making against our objectives.
We aim to have a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work.
We accommodate our staff supporting good causes with a Giving Back Day each year to participate in a volunteering initiative. In FY2024 (April 2023 – March 2024), our staff spent a total of 338 hours supporting charities including St Clare Hospice and Whitechapel Mission.
On behalf of everybody here at The Whitechapel Mission, thank you for your support. With your support we are able to continue delivering life-changing services to vulnerable people of London.Whitechapel Mission
We have committed to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2035. As members of the UK Green Building Council, we actively seek to be part of the conversation on sustainability in construction.
This year we presented on ‘Applying Lifecycle Costing Techniques to Support Sustainable Interventions in Design and Construction’. In collaboration with UCL, we were joined by clients, various organisations across Europe, and sustainability and circular economy experts. The presentation focussed on our works on RELondon Circular Construction In Regenerative Cities’ (CIRCuIT).
Training our staff to embrace the same commitments is integral and we provide various resources to ensure this happens. We have now completed our A-Z guide on sustainability in construction which is updated annually by employees on our Graduate Development Scheme. We embrace knowledge sharing with biweekly sustainability roundups on our intranet, continuing with training on best practices for all staff.
