How did you find out about the Stace Graduate Scheme?
Whilst studying my Masters, a lecturer recommended me to Stace. When I researched the company, I found the scheme particularly interesting because there was an opportunity to bridge the gap between the knowledge I had gained during my studies to having real-world experience.
What advice would you give students who are considering the Stace Graduate Scheme?
I would advise students to consider the graduate scheme as it provides the necessary knowledge required to become a chartered professional within the industry. Stace offers a programme which enables you to expand your knowledge and get stuck in on projects allowing you to grow as a professional within a short period of time.
What do you enjoy most about working for Stace?
I have the opportunity to work across various schemes and with different clients which has allowed me to develop into the competent project manager I am today. Working with this amount of differentiation has meant my knowledge of project management and construction has developed greatly in a short period of time. I am also surrounded by colleagues who have vast experience in the industry and have always been open to answering any questions I have.
What did you learn on the Graduate Development Scheme that you have applied to your day-to-day role?
The comprehensive two-year scheme provided me with an overview of the necessary skills and knowledge required on a day–to–day basis when managing projects. In my view, the key skills and knowledge I use every day are administering a building contract, understanding the importance of client care and presenting confidently.
What are your future career plans?
I recently became an MRICS Chartered Project Management Surveyor and would like to help others within Stace achieve their chartership. I am also working on some great schemes and look forward to delivering those in the coming year.
