Part of the National Trust portfolio since 1956, Ickworth House is a Grade I listed property which was built between 1795 and 1829.
Requiring 270 miles of scaffolding and 45,000 new slates, Stace delivered Project Management services on the largest conservation project to ever take place at Ickworth House. Involving the refurbishment and conservation of the rotunda building and surrounding wings.
The scope included multiple refurbishment requirements, including the domed rotunda roof, structural repair, drainage improvement works and installation of a lightning protection system across the estate.
Supported by additional funding from the National Lottery Heritage Arts Council England, and The Wolfson Foundation, the project was imperative to safeguard Ickworth House’s future for generations to come.
