Chineham District Centre Basingstoke

Delivering a much-improved retail and leisure experience for the community

Our client, Tellon Capital received the green light to redevelop Chineham District Centre in August 2020. The scheme will open-up and re-organise the site to improve the visitor experience. The plans involve the addition of a new medical centre together with shops, restaurants, a gym and a hotel.

The redevelopment will improve pedestrian and cycle access throughout the centre including better connectivity to the ancient woodland to the north. Other improvements include new public spaces in the central areas of the site and extensive landscaping for the local community.

The car parks will be reconfigured across existing levels of the site will increase capacity whilst improving accessibility and circulation.

Stace worked closely with the consultant team to devise a development phasing strategy to minimise disruption to the existing tenants during construction, whilst also delivering the maximum amount of new space in the first phase.

3D Reid architects, Macgregor Smith landscape architect, ICIS Design Ltd, Barton Willmore and Silcock Dawson also make up the project team.
