The new stand increased capacity at the stadium to 82,000. Additional facilities include a new 156 bed 5* Marriott hotel, a Virgin Active Leisure Centre, a Rugby Football Union shop, office space, a dedicated performing arts centre, 110,000ft² conference centre and banqueting halls.
The fit-out works were procured on a fast-track basis in order to meet key Autumn International matches and subsequent Six Nations fixtures. The new facilities have reduced RFUs reliance on temporary hospitality facilities by providing a modern bespoke space over several levels of the new South Stand structure.
The project also included extensive catering facilities a dedicated reception, core and toilet facilities.
