Background

Development of luxury residential led scheme in South West London.

Marketed as Carlyle Court, this residential led, mixed use development scheme is approximately 53,000ft2 across 5 storeys. The development is comprised of 22 residential units on the upper levels, a Marks & Spencers retail unit at ground level and a gym (The Gym Group) leisure facility at basement and lower ground levels.

Our Role

Stace were appointed as Project Managers, Employers Agent and H&S Advisors by developer Carlyle Land Limited.

Our Impact

The project commenced in 2014 with the acquisition and demolition of a former snooker hall and cinema. Completion was phased, with the retail and leisure units completed to shell and core standard by the end of 2015, and the residential units completed Autumn 2016. Close adjoining buildings and busy roads made for a restricted construction site, with Party Wall matters, Section 278 and Rights of Light matters to manage.

The apartments were fitted out to a high level and incorporate the latest in kitchen and bathroom design. There is a large communal podium terrace and garden at first floor level and a car park at ground floor level.

The development has been designed to achieve the latest levels of sustainability and is targeted to attain a BREEAM Very Good rating and the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 rating.
