Background

Havebury were required to upgrade the Unity Housing stock as part of an agreement made with the Local Authority at stock transfer. A full appraisal of the stock as required to ascertain the condition and to formulate a strategy for repair. This involved careful evaluation and investigation of the precast components and repair system available. Additional works were also to be incorporated to include renewal of roofs rainwater goods, canopies, windows and doors. The viability of increasing U values to meet Eco-Homes standards was also undertaken. Stace were responsible for development of the complete specification, appraising the most appropriate insulated render system on the market and for finalising the scheme and finishes with the clients tenant liaison team.
