Background

The demolition, enabling works and relocation works in advance of a new Tottenham Hotspur FC stadium development. Stace were appointed to manage the relocation of existing occupiers and clearance of the proposed site in advance of development works.

Our Role

Critical factors in managing the works included:

  • Liaison with the Local Authority Heritage and Building Control Offices.
  • Co-Ordination with Stadium Management, Health and Safety Committee and local police representatives during the summer riots 2011.
  • Structured management of engineers, contractors and party wall surveyors in the demolition of 120 buildings over a period of 28 months.
  • The relocation and construction of key elements of the client’s businesses including car parking, ticket office, public open spaces, disabled access and match day retail facilities.

Our Impact

Eighteen independent projects were completed within a budget of approximately five million ranging from asbestos removal and demolition to the procurement of new build industrial units.

The Stace approach to a structured relocation and enabling works contract resulted in a successful handover to the project team to commence construction works. We are proud to have played a key role in the process of the co-ordination between the client’s relocation team and the project manager/design team.
