The extension and refurbishment of leading education campus within a Conservation Area of Torquay.

This project comprised the build of a three-storey building and the refurbishment of an existing mock-castle style academic building on an established Education First campus.

Our Role

Stace were appointed in a Project Management capacity.

Our Impact

Working within a tight programme, working towards a completion date before the start of the new school year, Stace delivered 42 modern multi-media enabled classrooms, a restaurant with commercial kitchen/servery, learning resource centre, science laboratories, ICT laboratories and flexible art spaces with wide views of the South West coastline.

Located on a prominent limestone hill overlooking the centre of Torquay, the two main buildings are separated by an elevation difference of 10m; using structured hard landscaping and raised link bridges, the site was designed to be fully accessible.

The re-developed site now provides a new college campus for 650+ international students studying A-Level and International Baccalaureate courses.
