Senior Cost Manager


A Chartered Surveyor is required in our Epping Office, a position which forms an integral part of our dedicated Cost Management division. Based in Epping, Essex the position will require regular travel to meet the demands of projects, therefore flexibility is required.

Projects will vary across sectors covered, this can include but will not be limited to:

Culture & Heritage, Education, Hotels & Leisure, Life Sciences & Health, Public Sector & Local Government, Mixed-use Regeneration, Offices & Commercial, Residential, Retail and Sport.

You will be capable of working with minimum supervision in all areas of Cost Management, including but not limited to:

  • Preparing budget estimates/cost plans
  • Preparing bills of quantities
  • Preparing tender documents
  • Tender evaluation and report
  • Interim valuations
  • Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor’s claims
  • Effective variation control
  • Reporting direct to clients including presentations


Ideally you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • MRICS or equivalent level qualification
  • A relevant Degree
  • Good IT literacy, particularly in respect of preparing spreadsheets
  • Ability to communicate effectively at a high technical level with clients, members of the design team, other professionals in the industry, and contractors in all written communication


You will also have Cost Management experience, proven team leadership exposure and a pro-active, professional, self-motivated attitude to work.
