Job role:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the process from design inception to commencement on site working alongside, acquisition managers, designers, construction managers and other consultants. The role will require the individual to work on their own initiative but within a team and should be responsible for delivering wide range of multiple projects, to meet key SLA’s

You will be capable of working in all areas of Project Management, including but not limited to:

  • Management of high volume, of new and existing projects to support the expansion of a convenience retail estate.
  • Use of Infomanager – an online portal/platform which is the link between the Retail Client and their framework of contractors
  • Reviewing and evaluating designs from developers to co-ordinate an acceptable design proposal for the end user.
  • Managing the design, costing and planning process including the co-ordination of survey information.
  • Due diligence for every scheme reviewing best practice and providing value for the recommenced proposals.
  • Daily communication with the client and the wider project team.
  • Ensuring regular updates of project informing held on numerous tracker documents uploaded on MS teams
  • Presenting schemes at various meetings to inform the client on schemes progress and proposals.
  • Progressing schemes to start on site including managing the design team, direct contractors and consultants.
  • Handover of approved schemes to the delivery team, including supporting actions such as planning submissions utilising a framework of consultants.

These duties and responsibilities are indicative and not exhaustive; therefore we expect you to adopt a flexible approach to your role.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate educational background demonstrating good levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Strong IT skills, ability to learn new applications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (including Outlook, Teams and Excel) greatly beneficial.
  • Experience in retail new space/acquisitions and refits.
  • Retail PM experience would be preferable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and graphically.
  • Knowledge and understanding in larger/commercial sized M&E installations, HVAC and Refrigeration would be preferable.
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Capable of working to strict targets and timescales
  • Proficient in IT and using software including; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Capable of communicating effectively and efficiently with colleagues and clients
