Successful completion of brand new offices on Great Pulteney Street

25 October 2011

Great Pulteney Street lies to the East of Regents Street and North of Shaftesbury Avenue in the heart of historic Soho, an area characterised by an eclectic mix of architectural styles complimenting a vibrant street scene. The street itself is predominantly made up of elegantly proportioned Georgian townhouses and larger Victorian warehouse buildings, giving it a distinctive character.

The brief from the Client, F&C Reit Asset Management, was to  create a building that met the highest spatial, environmental and architectural standards and to achieve a visual connection between the building interior and the external streetscape thus enhancing the workplace vitality.

The new office development consists of six upper floors and a basement constructed of a combination of steel frame and concrete flat slabs. The elevations include precast cladding, faced with Portland stone to the front and glazed white bricks to the rear. The upper floors have glazed façades and an accessible green roof terrace. Principle design features include adiabatic cooling, LG7 lighting, raised access floors, exposed flat soffits and bespoke public art railings.
