Works start on site at Breast Cancer Haven, Solihull

08 June 2017

Work has started on site for the Haven’s new Solihull site, which has received overwhelming endorsement from healthcare professionals in the Heart of England Trust.

Works revolve around the refurbishment of a three-storey Edwardian property, formerly a bed and breakfast, to create a facility providing free support to breast cancer patients and their families. Services will be wide reaching and will include: drop-ins, financial guidance, support groups, a variety of workshops (including cooking classes), meditation and exercise group classes and a massage treatment room.

Works are scheduled to achieve practical completion in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Week. Once opened the centre will be able to treat and look after 60 new people each month, in addition to the people coming back for other treatments.

Stace are appointed in a Project Manager, Design Services and Contract Administrator capacity.
