Epping Forest District Council Museum Opens to Public

18 March 2016

Stace are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of Epping Forest District Council Museum, a partially grade II listed building with exhibition space and activity areas.

Stace started work on this scheme in December 2013 in a Project Management, Cost Management and CDM-Coordinator capacity. Following a number of design changes work started on site in June 2015.

The works included extending into the adjacent building and refurbishment of the grade II listed museum to provide new exhibition and activity spaces. Works also included the addition of a lift in the building which, along with a number of other alterations, greatly improved building access – an element which had been an on-going issue for the building.

The scheme was in part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as well as through EFDC and charitable donations to the museum.

The museum will have its grand opening on Saturday 19th March, 10am – 5pm, following an 11 week fit-out period.
