Works Progressing Well for The Maple Building

15 March 2016

Works are progressing well for The Maple Building, the redevelopment of 54,000 ft2 existing commercial building into premium residential units.

Due for completion Summer 2016, Phase II of the build is well underway, transforming the existing 1920’s brick, steel and concrete building (spread over six floors including a basement) into 50 high end apartments.

First floor show flats will be ready for viewing in May. Click here to view the online brochure.

Phase III of the project will include the construction of a circa 10,215 ft2 new build penthouse structure to contain an additional 7 apartments, complete with associated support steelwork. It will incorporate full height curtain walling and achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.

Above the penthouse will be 7 glass boxes or ‘Winter Gardens’; also comprising full height curtain walling. There will be a roof terrace, brown roof and also photovoltaic cells. Internally, the level of specification will allow these ‘Winter Gardens’ to be habitable spaces, and thus will therefore include lighting, power and comfort cooling.

The Penthouse is due for completion in December 2017.

Stace have been appointed to provide Project Management, Cost Management and Employer’s Agent services.
