Stace LLP Finalist in AJ Retrofit Award

18 September 2015

Earlier this week Stace spent an enjoyable evening supporting friends and clients Campbell Property (UK) Ltd, LaSalle Investment and Willmore Architects at the AJ Retrofit Awards.

Hosted by Architects Journal, The AJ Retrofit Award are the first and only awards dedicated to recognising achievements in design, engineering and construction. The awards set a benchmark for creative excellence across the commercial, public and private sectors in the UK, rewarding the best work and the brightest thinking.

We were there to showcase our project, The Sock Factory, (aka. The Shoe & Boot Factory), which we are proud to announce was shortlisted as a finalist in the Housing Category. Despite not walking away with the final prize, Stace had a great night celebrating some fantastic projects. Congratulations to Mae Architects and their winning project Hillington Square!

The Sock Factory, Leicester. Project Value, £4.5m
Involved from inception through to completion, Stace provided a multitude of services for the project, including Project Management, Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveying and CDM-C.
The student accommodation development comprised the refurbishment of an existing dilapidated factory building and construction of two new build five storey blocks – providing 173 student bedrooms across 34 cluster flats. To complement the exterior architecture, our client furnished the property with a boutique/ chic feel.
