Kent Science Park achieves PC

18 August 2015

Appointed as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM Consultants, Stace LLP recently completed works for the refurbishment and fitting out of 3No linked buildings – 1290m2 in total – to provide Research and Development facilities to IS08 standard for a major tenant of Kent Science Park.

The buildings, which had remained vacant since the previous owners had sold the site, were in need of extensive refurbishment prior to commencement of fit-out. Fitting out included the provision of offices, laboratories, clean rooms to IS08 standard, together with secure vaults and cold stores, external plan compounds, gas storage and car parking areas.

Works included extensive contamination surveys to existing fume cupboards and ductwork prior to its safe removal and disposal. Major repairs to roof and roof coverings together with the renewal of windows and doors were required prior to the fitting out. Loading bay, access road and car parks completed the works externally while the internal fit-out and plant installation was in progress.
