Stace sponsors the Isokon Gallery

17 March 2015

Stace have become a sponsor of the Isokon Gallery, an exhibition which aims to tell the story of the Grade I listed Isokon building. The Isokon was built in 1934 as part of an experiment in modern and minimalist urban living. The building gradually deteriorated until it was abandoned and left derelict in the 1990s.

In 2003, run as a competition sponsored by Camden Council, the refurbishment of this Grade I Modernist landmark involved renovating and conserving the building that had in recent years fallen into an acute state of disrepair.

The competition was won by Avanti Architects in partnership with Notting Hill Home Ownership, for whom Stace provided a full range of cost consultancy services along with planning supervision.

The scheme provided 25 flats for sale under shared ownership for key workers, and 11 further flats to be sold on the open market.
